Where to use this sign

This sign keeps people out of areas that are only meant for authorised staff. Typical places in UAE workplaces include electrical and plant rooms, server rooms, stores, workshops, roof access, generator areas, back-of-house kitchens and construction site boundaries. It makes the rule clear to visitors, contractors and delivery drivers, and it supports your site security and safety procedures.

Fix the sign on the door or barrier at about eye level, 1.5 to 1.7 metres from the floor, so it is read before someone reaches for the handle. For open areas and site fences, place a sign at every entrance and repeat it along the boundary at regular intervals. Combine it with a lock, access card or barrier where the area is hazardous, because a sign alone does not stop entry.

Use A4 for doors and store rooms, and A3 for gates, fences and larger entrances. Paper is suitable for indoor doors; for outdoor, humid or dusty locations choose aluminium or acrylic. If a particular hazard is behind the door, such as high voltage, add the matching warning sign next to this one. Rules for restricted areas depend on your site and activity, so follow your internal procedures.

Check the exact signage requirements for your building type with the relevant UAE authority or your fire and safety consultant.
