Where to use this sign

A wet floor sign warns people that the surface is slippery. Use it after mopping, at entrances on rainy or humid days, near kitchens, washrooms, pantries, swimming pool areas, car wash bays and wherever a spill or leak has happened. Slips are among the most common causes of injuries in offices, malls, hotels and warehouses, and a clear sign gives people the chance to slow down.

Place the sign where people will see it before they step on the wet area, in the middle of the walkway and facing the direction people arrive from. Use more than one sign for long corridors. Remove or fold it as soon as the floor is dry, because a sign left out all day teaches people to ignore it. For a leak or spill, clean it up promptly and keep the sign in place until the surface is safe.

Print A4 and stick it on a free-standing frame or a folded card stand for mops and cleaning rounds, and use A3 for lobbies and large halls. Lamination helps a paper print survive repeated wiping. For permanent use at pool or kitchen entrances, order a durable printed or moulded sign. Include wet floor checks in your housekeeping routine and risk assessment.

Check the exact signage requirements for your building type with the relevant UAE authority or your fire and safety consultant.
