Where to use this sign

The high voltage warning sign tells people that electrical equipment behind it can cause serious injury or death. It belongs on doors of electrical rooms and substations, switchboards and distribution panels, transformer enclosures, generator and control rooms, and on fences around electrical plant. In the UAE it is one of the most common signs on industrial, commercial and construction sites.

Mount the sign on the outside of the door or enclosure at eye level, so it is seen before anyone opens the cover. On fences, repeat it at intervals along the perimeter and at every gate. Keep it clean and undamaged, and replace it when it fades. Use it together with a locked door or panel and a restricted access sign, because the warning alone does not prevent contact.

Print A4 for panels, cabinet doors and electrical rooms, and A3 for substation fences and large enclosures. Paper is acceptable inside a dry building; outdoors choose aluminium or acrylic that can handle heat and sun. Only trained and authorised people should work on electrical equipment. Follow your electrical safety procedures and the requirements of the relevant UAE authority.
