Where to use this sign

The wear safety helmet sign is a blue mandatory sign: it tells everyone entering the area that a hard hat must be worn. In the UAE it is used at construction site entrances, scaffolding and lifting zones, factories, warehouses with high racking, ports, maintenance areas and anywhere there is a risk of falling objects or overhead work. It also protects visitors who are not familiar with site rules.

Put the sign at the entrance to the zone, at eye level or slightly higher, so people see it before they walk in, and repeat it at the start of each work area on larger sites. A good place is next to the sign-in desk or gate, with a rack of spare helmets nearby. Pair it with other personal protective equipment signs, such as safety shoes or high-visibility clothing, where those are also required.

Print A4 for gates, cabins and indoor entrances, and A3 for site hoardings and wide entrances. Paper is only a short-term answer in sun, dust and humidity, so for permanent outdoor use choose aluminium or acrylic. The rules for protective equipment on your site come from your risk assessment and safety procedures, so keep the sign consistent with them.
